The tenure of Mahesh Babu's 2005 thriller flip 'Athadu' got expires few months back. This is in association with the satellite rights owned by MAA TV, for expression Athadu on small screen. People who watch MAA TV a lot generally watch Athadu a lot as that flip is kept playing on the channel at least a couple of times in a month. What is shocking is that family audiences still watch Athadu on TV whenever it is aired. Keeping this require in mind, it is heard that MAA TV has brought Athadu privileges for second time for 8 years tenure. To renovate the contract, the popular entertainment channel has reportedly remunerated 3.5 crores for the maker.

No doubt, this is a new record in the kitty of Mahesh whose '1 Nenokkadine' holds the record of a movie that got sold for maximum ever price for satellite rights at 13 crores.
